NATALIE GARZA
ARTIST & OWNER
Born and raised along Colorado's Front Range, I developed an early appreciation for the natural landscape and the close-knit community that shaped my perspective. I later earned my degree from the University of Colorado Boulder and am currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
WORK SUMMARY
As a ceramic artist and painter, my practice explores the interplay of form, texture, and subtle movement. I am drawn to the balance between simplicity and complexity, fluidity and structure, creating work that embodies both restraint and vitality.
My ceramic work centers on organic forms with richly considered surfaces that invite closer observation and tactile engagement. Through texture and nuanced movement, I seek to transform familiar shapes into objects that feel quietly alive.
In painting, I bring the same sensitivity to material, color, and gesture, creating compositions that are both dynamic and understated. Working with minimal interventions, I allow subtle shifts in tone, rhythm, and depth to emerge.
Across both disciplines, I strive to create work that is intentional and quietly engaging, inviting viewers to appreciate the beauty found in nuanced form, texture, and the delicate tension between movement and stillness. I am especially interested in the relationship between art and interior spaces, believing a piece is fully realized when it finds the right environment—where architecture, light, and surrounding objects come together to create a sense of harmony.
