FAQ

General Terms

By placing an order, you’re confirming that you’ve reviewed and approved all specifications, finishes, and relevant details. Unless otherwise noted or discussed, full payment is required at the time your order is placed. In-stock pieces typically ship within one week.

Quoted prices are valid for 60 days and may change after that time.

Lead Times

Custom ceramic pieces have a lead time of 8 weeks. Custom painting lead times will vary depending on the nature of the work and project discussed with the client. Seldom Studio is a small, one-person practice, and while I do my best to plan carefully around materials, production time, and current workload, some variables are outside of my control. Lead times begin once payment is received and final order details are confirmed.

Please note that production timelines do not include shipping or transit time.

Handmade Nature of the Work

Each piece from Seldom Studio is made by hand, one at a time, using natural materials and traditional processes. Because of this, subtle variations in size, glaze, color, texture, and form are not only expected, but embraced. These nuances are part of what make each piece unique.

For this reason, I’m unable to accept returns based on natural variation. If something feels off for another reason, please reach out—I truly want you to be happy with your piece, and I’m always open to a thoughtful conversation.

Shipping & Delivery

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If an item is damaged during transit, notify Seldom Studio within 48 hours of delivery with a description of the issue and clear photos of the item and its packaging.

To help resolve things smoothly, please hold onto all original packaging until the claim is complete.

Warranty

All work is made with care and is guaranteed for 12 months against manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or mishandling, installation-related breakage, normal wear and tear (such as chipping or staining), improper cleaning or care, exposure to weather or non-residential environments, or any modifications made after delivery.

Any changes made to a piece after it leaves the studio will void the warranty.

Return Policy

Due to the custom and handmade nature of the work, all sales are final. I don’t accept returns or exchanges, so please review your order carefully before placing it, including measurements, specifications, and finishes.

If you have questions before ordering, I’m always happy to help clarify things.

International Orders

For orders shipped outside the United States, customers are responsible for any duties, taxes, or tariffs assessed by the destination country.
